Additional info on replacing just the bare glass lamp inside the housing.
Samsung made 2 different versions of this housing. One used a bare glass lamp that was vented and the other used a bare glass lamp that's unvented. The vented lamp has 2 air vents that are visible thru the front of the housing and the vents are about 1" in dia. The unvented lamp doesn't have any air vents visible thru the front of the housing. Confusingly, both versions of the housing can have the same Samsung part number and they're interchangeable at the housing level.
